| First-time CEO event |
Wednesday 1 July 2009 from 6.30pm |
| The Punter, 3 Pound Hill, Cambridge, CB3 0AE |
We were delighted to welcome guests from technology companies in and around the Cambridge cluster to the first in our series of informal networking events for first-time CEOs.
The event offered first-time CEOs the opportunity to share ideas with their peers. We hope that our guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet with colleagues and make some new contacts over a few drinks and a pub meal.
We were very pleased to welcome Paul Taylor, Co-founder and CEO of Phonetic Arts as our chairperson for the inaugural event. Paul is now embarking on his second technology venture, having sold his first technology company in 2004. He facilitated a lively discussion and was able to share some valuable experiences and ideas on questions raised around the table. |

Feedback from delegates has been incredibly positive:
“The event was a rare opportunity for a free and frank discussion amongst first-time CEOs within the Cambridge Cluster. As could be expected, technology trends and the current economic climate were discussed in equal measure, with insight, analysis, and suggestions provided by all. Certainly an evening of benefit to all who attended.”
Shamus Husheer, Co-founder and CEO Cambridge Temperature Concepts
The next CEO event will take place in November 2009.
