Cambridge-based start up Neul is part of a consortium testing the "white space" spectrum in Cambridge to see if the technology can provide the bandwidth to complete the UK's broadband coverage.
The consortium, which includes Microsoft, BT and the BBC will test white space radio, a technology designed to get more out of the radio spectrum allocated for TV broadcast.
Neul, founded in 2010, is led by the team responsible for building Europe's most successful fabless semiconductor company, CSR. Neul looks set to be central to the white space test: its products are the first and so far the only that fully meet the FCC white space radio specification, providing low cost, reliable, secure, long range wireless connectivity.
Having worked closely with CSR over the years, Bailey Fisher is pleased to be supporting the growth and development of Neul, working with the founding team on the search for a CFO. More on this role...
