Bailey Fisher was delighted to welcome over 40 guests to the second in our series of Women 4 Technology networking lunches.  This event was co-sponsored by La Playa, an award-winning independent insurance broker.

The idea behind the event was to offer women in technology at CXO and senior management level an opportunity to meet with their peers to share ideas and discuss issues of relevance to their role in a very relaxed setting.  We hope that our guests enjoyed the opportunity to take an hour or so away from running their business to make new contacts and share experiences.  The guest speaker was Catherine Beech, MD, OBE.  Catherine is well-known as a seasoned and successful early-stage life sciences VC, and founder of the Cambridge Gateway Fund. Catherine spoke concisely and informatively about the difficulties of fundraising in an economic downturn, and led a lively Q&A session after lunch.  Click here for notes from Catherine's speech.
