In order to achieve expansion plans our client, an international training organisation, has created the new position of Management Accountant / Business Analyst to enhance their existing finance team.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will assist with developing and managing the budget process, forecasting, scenario planning, and providing finance support and guidance to non-financial managers.  With a proven track record of working in a similar role, you will be commercially astute, customer focused, have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable problem solving and implementation skills.  Ideally you will be CCAB qualified, although experience is more important than qualifications. 

Duties include:

• Active participant in a steering group set up to review the organisation’s information systems, suggesting and implementing recommendations.
• Supporting the DoF in scenario planning and developing appropriate KPIs for the organisation.
• Supporting the DoF in reviewing and improving the existing budget process and managing the annual budget.
• Preparation and provision of financial information (e.g. management reports, rolling forecasts, project appraisals) for Departmental Managers and the Board of Trustees.
• Provision of financial support and guidance to non-financial Managers to ensure effective management of departmental budgets.
• Ad hoc financial investigations and projects including evaluation of possible M&A activities and overseas expansion.
