Bailey Fisher’s first-time CEO event a success
Bailey Fisher Executive Search welcomed first-time CEOs from in and around the Cambridge technology cluster to The Fountain Inn in Cambridge on 10 November, for the second in a series of informal networking events.
The idea behind the event is to provide a forum for those running their first venture to meet with their peers to discuss issues of relevance to their role in a relaxed setting. The event was chaired by Paul Taylor, CEO of Phonetic Arts, who initiated and led a discussion on raising external funding.
Guests included Jeff Zie, CEO - Shorfuze, Tim Murdoch, CEO - Iceni Mobile, and Amir Nathoo, Founder & CEO - WebMynd Corp, who contributed to a lively debate on the merits of angel funding versus VC funding.
“Thank you very much for organising another great event - I found it very valuable, and it is much appreciated.” George Harpur, Focal Point Software
The first-time CEO event is organised by Bailey Fisher, one of the UK’s leading independent executive search firms specialising in the high-growth technology sector. The next event will take place in Spring 2010. For more details see www.baileyfisher.com/events.php
