Laurence Garrett: Chairman

Laurence Garrett was appointed as Chairman of Bailey Fisher in 2009. Previously Laurence was a Partner and Head of European Technology for the Growth Capital team at 3i, in addition to running the 3i Cambridge office.
 

After leaving 3i, Laurence Garrett co-founded Ethean Capital and became a member of the Cambridge University Investment Committee, endorsing investments made by University venture funds. He also acts as an advisor to Clarity, the corporate finance advisory business focused on the media and technology sectors.

Paul Bailey: Co-founder

Paul co-founded Bailey Fisher in 1998.  The firm’s Managing Director, Paul is responsible for CxO, NED and Chairman appointments with a particular emphasis on high-growth technology companies.  

As Managing Director, Paul continues to expand his extensive network of entrepreneurs and investors, forging close relationships with VCs and business angels in the technology sector. Paul is also on the board of the Cambridge Network.

Ann Fisher: Co-founder

Ann is a Director and co-founder of Bailey Fisher, and the driving force behind Women 4 Technology.  Ann is instrumental in building relationships with spin-out companies from business incubators and universities across the UK, as well as venture capital funds and professional advisors.  Ann trained with a Top 10 accountancy firm, before moving into industry as a Financial Controller with an early-stage technology company.  Aged 27, she built her first recruitment company to a successful exit within 5 years.

Ian McLoughlin

Ian focuses on executive assignments across the TMT space.   Prior to joining Bailey Fisher, Ian was an Executive Director with Russell Reynolds Associates, completing numerous CxO searches for private and public TMT companies. Before embarking on a career in search, Ian worked for nine years in and around the private equity and venture capital industry as a Principal with Allianz Capital Partners and, more recently, as a corporate finance advisor to private technology companies with Go4Venture. His early career was in research.

Ian has a degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University and a PhD in mathematical modelling from Imperial College, London.

Rachel Keaveney FCCA

Rachel specialises in finance and HR appointments with technology and SME companies, working closely with high-profile clients on roles from Financial Controller to Board level.

A qualified accountant, Rachel trained with Deloitte in Cambridge, working for their small business advisory department, and managing the Deloitte Fast 50 programme for the Eastern region.  Moving into the commercial sector, Rachel spent five years as Head of Finance & HR with a Cambridge-based venture capital-backed company, before joining Bailey Fisher in 2006.

OJ joined Bailey Fisher from Russell Reynolds Associates in London, where she worked on senior level searches within the technology sector.  Her recruitment experience started in North America, where she led searches with a focus on interactive talent.

Jenny Alsop: Operations Manager

As Operations Manager, Jenny ensures the smooth running of the office and internal operations, and provides research capabilities to support the team.  

Prior to joining Bailey Fisher in 2007, Jenny worked as a consultant for a national recruitment company and the Sales & Marketing division of a Cambridge-based multi-national.

Helen Poole: Marketing Manager

Helen joined Bailey Fisher to drive the company’s marketing activity. 

Helen has over 10 years experience in marketing. Prior to joining Bailey Fisher Helen was Marketing & Events Director for one of the UK’s leading music management companies, and subsequently a freelance marketing consultant working with clients in the entertainment and media sectors.
