MIP Diagnostics hires CCO
Bailey Fisher is pleased to have assisted MIP Diagnostics with the appointment of Miquel Vernet as Chief Commercial Officer.
Miquel has been serving the in-vitro diagnostics industry for over 25 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business. He has worked at various established diagnostic companies including Behring, Becton Dickenson, NanoString Technologies (Hologic) and most recently MobiDiag (Hologic), as Chief Commercial Officer. His experience spans both immunodiagnostics and molecular diagnostics platforms, covering various fields such as neuroscience, infectious disease and drugs of abuse.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Miquel will be working with MIP Diagnostic's customers across the globe, helping them achieve their design and commercialisation goals with molecularly imprinted polymer technology.
Speaking of the new role, Miquel said, ”Molecularly Imprinted Polymers are extremely exciting because they have the potential to bring about significant changes to the IVD industry, enabling next generation devices with improved diagnostic accuracy. Their use in sensors is particularly interesting, as we have already seen that MIP's can deliver significant sensitivity improvements. This will lead to sensors being more widely used for regular monitoring of a variety of disease states, improving speed of diagnosis and earlier treatment where needed.”
He added, “I am looking forward to rapidly progressing the technology in the IVD space, supporting clients in reaching their performance goals, and in turn, progressing medical diagnostics to the next level.”
Stephane Argivier, CEO at MIP Diagnostics said of the new appointment, “I am delighted to welcome Miquel to MIP Diagnostics’ leadership team. Miquel brings a strong track record of success within the IVD industry and his appointment reflects the business’ commitment to provide our customers best in class know-how, technology, products, and service.”
