Graphene firm Paragraf acquires Cardea Bio

UK graphene electronics scale up, Paragraf, has acquired US-based Cardea Bio, the world's leading producer of graphene-based biocompatible chips. Cardea Bio is to be renamed Paragraf USA.
In an interview with UKTN, Simon Thomas, CEO and Co-founder of Cambridgeshire-based Paragraf, commented that the acquisition will allow the business to create a “pipeline of biosensing products aimed at solving major global challenges."
He added: “These products will strengthen surveillance of the quality and integrity of our food production processes, markedly improve early detection of disease and monitor the health of our environment, advancing Paragraf's vision of Healthy People, Healthy Cities and Healthy Planet.”
