Zoe hosted 5th WILS breakfast

Zoe Robson, Partner and Head of Life Sciences at Bailey Fisher, hosted the 5th Women in Life Sciences (WILS) breakfast on 18 January, in partnership with Rachel Bradley, Partner at Penningtons Manches Cooper. 

Despite arctic conditions, Zoe and Rachel welcomed experienced leaders and first-time CEOs alike to the beautiful Babraham Research Campus to share insights on the morning’s two topics - Expanding your business to the US and Building a strong and diverse board. 

Since launching in 2022, WILS has grown through reputation, welcoming an ever-growing cohort of CEOs from across start up and scale up businesses to discuss issues of relevance to their role in an informal peer group setting.   

Highlights from the January event topics included differences in the US vs UK pitch process, the best US networks, areas to consider around EIS funding, the pros and cons of investor heavy boards, increasing the number of women on boards and the importance of a healthy Chair/CEO relationship where there is a shared vision.
